1 ‘more’ is a comparative after-determiner (DAR), when it is followed by a noun phrase. For example:

  • For more information, contact me.
  • One or more of the people have come.

2 ‘more’ is a comparative adverb of degree (RGR), when it modifies an adjective or adverb.

  • You are more likely to win, and more importantly, get the money.

6 ‘more’ as a general comparative adverb (RRR) is hard to locate and understand in corpora examples. But generally it is followed by prepositions (not ‘of’)

  • You can learn more about it.
  • There’s more in the cupboard.
  • There’s more to it.
